《照明工程学报》（ISSN 1004-440X，CN 11-3029/TM）试刊于1988年，创刊于1992年，是由国家新闻出版总署批准，中国科学技术协会主管、中国照明学会主办的全国性学术刊物，被万方数据库、中国学术期刊（光盘版）、中文科技期刊数据库、中国学术期刊文摘、中国邮政中邮阅读网、AJ/VINITI等收录，2004年入选为中国科技核心期刊，2009年入选为北大中文核心期刊，2014/2015/2016/2017/2018/2019年入选中国科技核心期刊，是照明领域权威学术刊物。
办刊宗旨：
及时反映照明学术领域的最新研究动向、国内外照明领域的最新研究成果，照明规划与设计、照明标准及新产品、照明工程精品案例以及国际照明委员会及国际照明组织的学术动向、会议报道等，为国内有关部门领导决策、科研部门、大专院校及生产企业提供信息。

China Illuminating Engineering Journal, first issued in 1992, is an academic journal sponsored by China Illuminating Engineering Society (CIES). It is an authoritative publication and a national key journal; and plays an important role in development of science and technology of lighting field in China.
The journal is dedicated in presenting latest research trends and achievements in the lighting field; publishing samples of lighting designs and illuminating engineering projects; introducing new lighting products and standards; reporting latest news of CIES and CIE; and providing crucial information for government, research departments, colleges and enterprises.
The contents of the journal cover academic research, industry dynamics, CIE and CIES news, introductions of CIE technology document, and reports of CIE and CIES activities and so on. The journal is indexed by the Wanfang database, the China Academic Journal (CD), the Chongqing VIP database and other academic databases. And it is highly recognized by researcher, lighting designers, illuminating engineers and so on.
2012 has been the twentieth year since the foundation of the China Illuminating Engineering Journal. The past twenty years witness the journal’s fast growth and its more significance in enhancing exchange between CIE and CIES; promoting communication in lighting field; and developing lighting science and technology.
